Red Sweet Piquillo Peppers de Lodosa DO in glass
Red Piquillo Peppers, small and sweet, with thin and compact flesh, protected under the 'Piquillo de Lodosa' Designation of Origin. We roast them over direct flame, in the traditional way, and then peel them by hand. La Catedral de Navarra prepares its peppers dry, so as not to dilute the intensity of the Piquillo pepper just out of the fire.
Although they can be consumed directly from the jar, it is recommended to sauté them in a pan with a splash of olive oil without letting them boil. They are delicious confit in their own juice; it is also common to enjoy them stuffed. On their own, they are a perfect accompaniment for all types of meats and fish.
