Rice pudding is a spectacular dessert, a classic of Spanish gastronomy and of practically all the grandmothers of Spain.

Time

Servings
5 servings

  2 liters of fresh milk

  380 grams of rice Dacsa

  The peel of a lemon

  2 large cinnamon sticks

  250 grams of cane sugar

  50 grams of butter

  Cinnamon powder

1Cut the peel of a lemon (without the white part).

2Wash the rice in cold water.

3Add the fresh milk along with the cinnamon sticks and the peel of the lemon in a saucepan, then bring to a boil using medium-high heat. Be careful not to let the mixture stick to the bottom of the pot!

4Add the sugar and mix it very well.

5Once it starts boiling, lower the heat and add the washed rice.

6Let it cook at medium-low heat for about 40-50 minutes, this will depend on the type of stove that you are using. Stir slowly a couple of times until the end of cooking approaches to make sure it doesn't stick to the bottom.

7Once the rice is cooked, remove the cinnamon, the lemon skins, add the butter, and mix it. This step will give a very creamy touch to the rice pudding.

TIPS:

Let it cool down and serve it in cups with ground cinnamon.
