1 can of sardines in olive oil from Conservas ALBO  

100 grams of cream cheese

Fresh chives

½ shallot

1 lemon

Step 1: Drain the sardines

The first thing you need to do to prepare this delicious pâté is to open the can of sardines in olive oil from Conservas ALBO and drain the oil well. We recommend saving the extracted oil in a small glass or bowl.

Step 2: Flake the sardines

With the help of a fork and a bowl, thoroughly flake the canned sardines. Be careful when doing this and try to remove as many bones as you can.

Step 3: Prepare the shallot

Using a cutting board and a knife, peel and finely chop half a shallot.

Step 4: Prepare the chives

The next step is to carefully wash the chives. Use a clean cloth to dry them. Finally, use the knife and cutting board to finely chop the chives.

Step 5: Mix the ingredients

In the bowl, add the flaked sardines, chopped shallot, chopped chives, and cream cheese. Using a blender, process all the ingredients well until you get a smooth paste. If the mixture is too thick, try adding a bit of the reserved sardine oil.

Step 6: Squeeze the lemon

Cut the lemon in half and squeeze its juice into the pâté. Use a fork or spoon to mix well until the juice is fully incorporated into the mixture.

Step 7: Season to taste

Depending on how much you like these spices, add salt and pepper to the mixture. Stir well and check the flavor. If it needs more of either, feel free to season it to your taste.

Step 8: Garnish with chives

To finish your delicious sardine pâté, add the previously chopped chives as a decorative touch. And that's it! You now have a delicious sardine pâté.
